I strongly believe that pregnancy and birth is a normal healthy event and feel families should be treated with respect and encouraged to make choices fitting to their lifestyles and values.

Family-Centered midwifery combines expertise and knowledge with wisdom of the heart to give your family the comfortable, safe and positive experience that all babies and parents desire and deserve. I consider it a true honor to serve our clients through their individual journey in pregnancy, birth and beyond.

My Philosophy

With Family-Centered Midwifery women can give birth and receive health care that respects their dreams and encourages their strength. Our staff believes birth is normal and an emotionally powerful experience. I believe that when a woman and her family are involved in making decisions about their care, they are more equipped to meet the challenges of parenthood. I feel a woman is best served through information, partnership, and trust between client and midwife.

My Practice

Since 1997, I've been serving women in birth and prior to that (1985-1999) I worked in Family Practice and Pediatrics as a nurse . I became a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) through the National Assosciation of Registered Midwives and have been Licensed in the State of Texas to practice midwifery since 2000.

I have offices located in South Austin and Blanco , Texas and I offer midwife services for the Texas Hill Country and Austin area including but not limited to (Austin, Blanco, Dripping Springs, Fredericksburg, Marble Falls, Burnet, Canyon Lake, Spring Branch,San Marcos, Kyle, and Buda).
