Scholarship Information
We are very pleased to be able to offer a single scholarship on an annual basis.
Please note that only Texas residents are eligible and only new ATM students.

The scholarship is for 75% of the $3900.00 course program fee.
The awarded scholarship is $2925.
If you are awarded this scholarship, you will be required to pay the remaining portion
of the course fee prior to attending each workshop. The remaining portion of the course
fee is $975.00 (payable in 6 installments of $162.50 prior to attending each of the six
workshops). You will also be responsible for maintaining a current student membership.
The one time $150 application fee is still required by those awarded the scholarship.
Please be aware that these fees are part of the
course application process and are due immediately.
Other expenses you will need to consider are
required books, which will cost approximately $600- $750; child care (if applicable);
gasoline and car maintenance; pager; meals during time spent in clinical training;
and equipment, expect a minimum of $300 for basic items.
The application process begins by filling out the application, plus
writing the required letter stating your need in detail (max. 2 pages, please). Remember
that there is only one scholarship awarded each year.
The deadline for receiving the application form, accompanying letter
and other information for the scholarship will be August 31. The recipient of the
scholarship will be notified in early November and will be required to commence the
following January.
The successful candidate must complete the academic portion of the
Midwifery Training Program in a 18-month period. This means that ALL workshops MUST
be attended per schedule, beginning with January Orientation. If this does not occur
then the remainder of the scholarship will be revoked and you will be billed for the
portion(s) of the course you have completed.
