Additional ATM Webpage Information
Why Should You Get an ATM Webpage???
TexasMidwives.com is one of the best ways to connect your practice to the World Wide Web.
This website receives over 2200 visits per month! That means every 20 minutes someone could
be looking for your practice on our website because most of these visits come from
individuals looking for midwives in their area. Some midwives rely heavily on their ATM webpage
to attract clients.
If you are a member of the Association of Texas Midwives, your webpage is FREE. We do not
advertise on your page. Your page includes all the important information about yourself that people
looking for midwives need to know to contact you. To view some other midwife pages, and see what others
have done, click the "Find A Midwife" link above and browse the existing pages.
In order for a midwife to have and keep a web page on the ATM web site, the midwife must:
1.
Be a current Associate or Lifetime member of ATM in good standing with ATM and
current on all membership dues. For more information on joining

.
2. Be a current legal Texas Midwife (either state licensed or
a CNM) or
3. if a midwife lives in another state, that midwife must be an
approved ATM preceptor.
4. If a midwife is under any disciplinary restrictions
by the state, that midwife MUST fully disclose such restrictions on their web
page. If the restrictions do not allow the midwife to practice midwifery, no web
page will be given to the midwife. However, the midwife may have a web page if
the restrictions do not prevent them from practicing midwifery.
It is the responsibility of the midwife to provide such information to ATM when
applying for the personal web page. Or in the case where the midwife already has
a web page, the restriction/disciplinary information must be provided to ATM no
later than 10 days after the restrictions are in place. Failure to comply with
these guidelines will result in immediate removal of the midwife's personal web
page. If ATM determines any such information has been withheld, the web page will
be immediately removed and the failure to comply with ATM's guidelines will be
reported to the Texas Department of Health Midwifery Program.
